Death row dog dumped at animal control again
Spread the love

A tail-wagging, senior pit bull named “Patches,” can’t seem to catch a break. The eight-year-old dog was adopted from the Lancaster Animal Services facility in California, and then dumped there again – this time, Patches is considered to be “urgent.”

Patches appears to be a happy boy, despite his bad luck. His little tail thumps madly when a friendly voice speaks to him from the other side of his kennel door.

My name is Patches and I’m an approximately 8 year old male pit bull. I am already neutered. I have been at the Lancaster Animal Care Center since May 16, 2017. I am available on May 16, 2017. You can visit me at my temporary home at L207.

The staff/volunteers here at the animal care center have found that I spend time indoors and outdoors. I seem to be good with small children. I am housetrained. I am good on a leash. I am just learning obedience skills. I seem to get along well with dogs.

Patches is a good boy, with bad luck – please share his adoption information and help him find a safe place to go, before he is gone forever.

  3. Many days I wish I didn’t see these types of stories as they make me so sad. How can these dogs be helped? Can they travel? Would donations keep them alive? Please respond.

  4. Another innocent being punished because of idiotic humans – Patches is an older dog who will make someone a wonderful companion – He deserves a safe loving FOREVER home – PLEASE give him one.

  5. OMG why was he brought back to the shelter. You can see that he is a friendly dog by responding by wagging his tail at the caller. I hope that he finds a good home to go to very soon and is not brought back to the shelter

  6. Please save beautiful Patches, give him a chance, he is so precious. Very urgent don’t let him die for nothing. Adopt, foster or rescue him.

  7. Don’t these Idiots know that when you adopt any Animal, Their yours to Keep for the rest of their Life. They are not Trash.

  8. Re-dumped? Not fair to Patches. Will share, but, unfortunately none of my FB friends will not share. Cannot understand why they just can’t with a press of a key! Most dogs in need of help are from the west coast and down south.
