Dogs who were living in terrible conditions suffered horrific injuries at a puppy mill operation in Stevens County, Washington. According to the non-profit rescue agency, Rescue4All, 32 adult dogs, six puppies and a cat were surrendered by the people who had been profiting from the breeding operation. The group wrote:
This was an INTENTIONAL PUPPY MILL & hoarding situation ….these monsters were breeding and selling puppies at Walmart, on the side of the road, in parking lots and whoever didn’t get sold came back to live out their life in hell… Or die the worst death possible
According to KREM News, the badly neglected dogs were suffering from a variety of maladies, including wounds from embedded collars, bloody stools and urine, parasite infestation and untreated lacerations. One dog had a huge, gaping hole which had to be surgically closed (the dog featured in the image survived).
According to KXLY News, Theresa and Thomas Hostetler were arrested in conjunction with the deplorable situation and they are facing felony and misdemeanor charges of animal cruelty.
