Crated dog abandoned in snow bank

Last Thursday, a crated dog, abandoned in an Ontario dog park, was discovered by a good Samaritan. According to CTV News, the crate was found just off of a road, on a snowbank at the Freedom Dog Park in Huntsville.

Whoever abandoned the dog also left some toys, and a note asking for a “better forever home,” for the pup.

In a heartbreaking Facebook post, the abandoned dog’s finder described how the pup was found:

I am absolutely disgusted with whoever dropped off this poor innocent puppy at the dog park today in a little crate; she would have froze to death in this cold! I didn’t notice the poor little guy until our way out of the dog park!! She was crying and shaking when I found her.

The good Samaritan who found the young dog contacted the Ontario SPCA – the agency is caring for the dog and searching for the individual who abandoned her at the park.

Anyone who recognizes the abandoned dog is asked to reach out to the Ontario SPCA.

  1. Fingerprints on the note??? Find the POS who abandoned her, put them in a crate with a lightweight jacket, no food, no water, and dump them in the snow.

  2. I can’t believe anybody would abandon a dog out in a cold, no water and no food? And thanks for the note, but you know if you have a brain left surrendering to a shelter so she is warm and not freeze to death, food and water would be a better option. Jeez people, use your heads! Thanks for the angel that found her!

  3. What braindead asshole dumps a dog out in the freezing cold w/a note asking for a better home? A jackoff that’s who – they couldn’t be bothered to take this little one to a shelter, obviously not. This little dog deserves much better – I hope whoever did this finds themselves lying in a gutter and no one cares. That’s all the mercy they get from me. Thank you to the kind Samaritan who rescued this pup.

  4. A “better home”? You think? Not the way to find a dog a new home, the poor thing is lucky to be alive and lucky someone found the dog before it froze to death! How I would like to give them a taste of the same!
