Elderly woman threw dog in the trash

Caught in the act: Elderly woman throws small dog into the trash

Thanks to a surveillance camera, and elderly woman’s act of cruelty was captured on video. According to Wednesday’s KHOU News, a Texas family’s dog, named “Bentley,” was picked up by a woman in her 80s after escaping from his owner’s fenced yard – the elderly woman didn’t try to return Bentley to his home, instead opting to pick him up and then trap him in a trash container.

The cruel deed was captured by a neighbor’s surveillance – apparently, once the woman realized that she was being filmed, she decided to remove little Bentley from the trash. The disturbing incident, which thankfully left the small dog unharmed, is believed to be the result of an ongoing dispute between the elderly woman and the dog’s family.

Bentley’s owner, Amanda, expressed her dismay, “The fact that her answer to this was to put a seven-pound dog and put him in a trash can, it’s rather cruel or no thought at all, either way it’s ridiculous.” And her husband, Brandon, offered his two cents on the situation, “To be completely honest, I just think she’s a spiteful old lady.”

League City Police believe that the elderly woman may have some mental health issues and they are working with her to provide help, if needed.

Why is a seven pound dog ANYWHERE ALONE that she/he can be picked up by any stranger…. sane or not? WHY DO pet owners let their animals wonder? ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS to a pet that is not on a leash or with their owner… if the OWNERS fault!! Use your head people….. do you let you small children wander around?

The article says the dog escaped its yard. It’s time for the family to do an upgrade on whatever fence they have and not leave the dog outside unattended. I have a neighbor who is a real a** – gets drunk and then shoots at feral cats (when he’s not trapping and dumping them somewhere). He’s threatened to shoot my dogs (and me, and another neighbor). When you have a neighbor you KNOW is an issue, you go outdoors with the dog(s) and bring them in when you have to go in. Evil neighbors can toss hot dogs laced with poison or so many other things. When you have a problematic neighbor, you have to be on your toes 24/7.

It escaped their fence. But, that should not have been allowed to happen.
A lot of mental illness is simply unrepentant sin in a person’s life. I don’t have a lot of faith in the fields of psychology and psychiatry. Why? Because they are based on the theories of a godless atheist who committed suicide, Sigmund Freud. These fields don’t even recognize that sin exists!

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!! This is the twenty-first Century… Do you still Believe in burning Witches at the stake too? YOU are a “fucking religious ZELOT”!!!!

      • linda says:

OMG! My brother who was a Christian committed suicide. He was in major pain.Do not damn those that were in pain and chose what THEY thought was to make the pain go away!!!!!

      • linda says:

Shame on you! Mental illness does exist!!!! Have you ever been sexually, beaten and verbally abused? Has anyone come to you for counseling? I hope not!!!!!!

      • helen says:

Mental illness has nothing to do with what this elderly woman did, however, mental illness does exist. Some are caused by a chemical imbalance, some are caused by being treated with such heinous acts by the people who were supposed to protect and love you, some were even strangers who raped you. Tread lightly my friend. I have sought help through psychologists, psychiatrists and clergymen and they agree mental illness is a serious problem! Suicide is to be taken seriously. You have no heart. You obviously haven’t had the experience that some of has had to go through losing someone through suicide. Consider yourself lucky. Because Rev. IT SUCKS!!!!!!! What a hateful human being you are!!!!!

I would certainly be interested in SEEING DOCUMENTATION of “THE So called RELIGIOUS UNIVERSITY OR INSTITUTE SHE SUPPOSEDLY GRADUATED from!!!! THE INSTUTE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED for ALLOWING PEOPLE to Graduate and supposedly counsel , teach, someone like her.

      • Rev. Dr. Yvonne Ray says:

Pennysdachsund – I have stated previously that my degrees are from a seminary. I neither teach nor counsel anyone. I am an evangelist (reacher – not a preacher, i.e. soul winner, missionary and Christian political activist – especially against animal abuse and for animal rights). I became ordained only because my seminary required that to graduate. My schooling was for my Lord and Saviour and for me. I did not doit for any paying career.

      • Rev. Dr. Yvonne Ray says:

I have not stated mental illness doesn’t exist. I stand by what I say. Repentance and a saving relationship with Jesus Christ is the beginning of healing. I am not a hateful person. You may believe as you will about me. I came from a very abusive family. My extended family had alcoholics, drug addicts, suicides, criminals, convicts and ex convicts. My faith, weird sense of humor and love for animals has kept me grounded. There are simply two types of folks on this earth – children of God and children of Satan. Everyone who reaches the age of accountability – knowing right from wrong – makes that choice in life – whether they are aware of this or not. Mental illness is addressed in the Bible. Many people can be helped by accepting salvation and Christian counseling.

      • Rev. Dr. Yvonne Ray says:

Linda – I am sorry for the loss of your brother. I have had multiple suicides in my family and have attempted suicide a few times myself. But I was a miserable failure at it and I am still here to annoy people.
But, a Christian closes their eyes in death on earth and opens them in paradise with our Lord and Saviour.
        Take comfort in that.
        God bless,
        Your annoying friend

I am simply amazed at the “Balls” this NUT CASE REVEREND has ” She must be from the Almighty Church of OZ” foundation…. beyond belief her theory on Mental Illness , Yet she is going to counsel people on faith, I hope she get sent to the Mental Health facility in her area… She can see first hand that there is no such thing as Mental Illness!!! This person would be a determent to ANY person the seeks out counseling, from her… If indeed she is a Dr. she will find herself being sued when one of her followers commits suicide, after her advice!!!

      • Rev. Dr. Yvonne Ray says:

Do you not read what I have written? I did not state mental illness does not exist. I said I am not a counselor. I have also mentioned that my doctor degrees are in the field of theology. You hate the message so you hate the messenger.

      • Rev. Dr. Yvonne Ray says:

My theories on mental illness are not theories. They are facts. Neither the field of psychology or psychiatry recognize sin exists. Both fields were founded on theories of Sigmund Freud – who was an atheist who committed suicide. What have I stated that is not true? The King James Bible – the only uncorrupted translation and God’s very words and his instruction manual for our lives – tells us much mental illness is caused by unrepentant sin in a person’s life. These are not my theories. These are God’s truth. If you have a problem with that I suggest you take it up with Almighty God and stop trying to kill the messenger.

I don’t care one bit if this old bat is 80 – she should be arrested for animal cruelty – let her butt sit in a jail cell – her cruel actions towards an innocent dog should put her there. See how she likes being dumped. I realize this would only be a misdemeanor charge but she needs to learn a lesson. If there had been no camera Bentley would not have survived.

Mental issues my ass! She just doesn’t like the neighbors and their dog. The owners, however, need to keep their eye on the dog while it’s outside. The next time they may not be so lucky.

Yes I hope the “elderly” woman gets help, funny how when she saw she was being watched doing this, she knew enough to take the dog out of the trash can. Makes me wonder how bad off mentally she really is!. To the owners of the dog, keep your dog home and you won’t have to worry about this old bi*ch!

They had better never allow their dog outside alone again. She’s liable to kill the poor little guy.

Sounds like this could be a future episode of “Fear Thy Neighbor”.

A 7 pound dog (or cat) is vulnerable to large birds of prey….. our neighbors lost their 12+ pound cat to a large hawk (I found the remains in our yard & wish I could “unsee” it)…… NEVER leave a small pet alone outside…… NEVER…….
In this case, the “predator” was a POS neighbor…. age is irrelevant….. a POS is a POS….. if that were my precious furbaby, I would be in jail for beating the living daylights out of her……
I am very sorry for the terrible treatment of an innocent precious furbaby but am relieved that no permanent harm was done…..

Linda – I am not and never claimed to be a counselor. I was seriously abused as a child and an adult. I don’t have the answers but I have a personal and saving relationship with the (former) man who does. His name is Jesus Christ.
