A brazen thief didn’t bother waiting for the cover of darkness to steal a dog out of his owner’s driveway in Fort Bend County, Texas.  According to Monday’s Click 2 Houston News, the man grabbed the two-year-old husky, named “Fox,” on Saturday afternoon and dragged him to his van.

Surveillance video captured the disturbing scene and it shows that the dog being pulled away was unhappy with that he is being taken away by a stranger. The dog’s owner, who hasn’t been named, is heartbroken because she can see on the video that her dog was trying to do anything that he could to avoid being pulled away from his home, and into the waiting van.

The brazen theft has been reported to the authorities. Anyone who recognizes the man, or the van, or who has information about this crime, is asked to call the police.

  1. Omg there is no telling what kind of abuse this dog is being forced to endure. Prayers that he is returned safely to his owner and quickly.

  2. The side of the van has a logo – looks like it might have been partly spray-painted over. That should make the van easier to identify. Praying for the safe return of this dog. If I had to tether a dog outside, I would never leave them alone. I’m OCD enough about my dogs when they are in our fenced back yard.

    • A mistake? Doesn’t really look like a mistake to me from the video, but I suppose that’s their story and they are sticking to it.

  3. This is when you wish your dog would bite and take a chunk out of their arm! Prayers they find their dog safe and sound and the POS that did this lives a nice long life in jail!

  4. I have always said loose dogs are not a good thing. I know it says the dog was in its driveway. It just seems in these times. Ya just cant trust people and their intentions. I hope she gets her doggie back.
