Through no fault of his own, Bing Bong’s life is nearly over. Beginning at 1:00 p.m., the dogs on the euthanasia list at New York Animal Care and Control will be quietly walked back into a room and within minutes will “cease to exist.” Let’s discuss Bing Bong’s life, even though less than 18 hours ago, this friendly bulldog mix smiled and played with volunteers quite convinced this would be the day he would be adopted:

“TIED UP WITH HIS LITTLE SISTER – THEY SAT AND WAITED FOR THEIR OWNER WHO NEVER RETURNED. They thought they were going for a walk, all happy and trotting down the street together, tails wagging in delight. Then they found themselves tied to a tree, they wanted to run after their owner ‘don’t forget us!’ The waited patiently for hours, but they were never to see him again. Why are people so cruel? Bing Bong is adorably chunky bulldoggish good looks, gentle, full of smiles and love – he just needs that one special person to see it that he is so worth saving. “

A Facebook page to follow this dog’s last hours at hoping to find a foster home or adopter can be found here. If you’re wondering what this delightful boy with the pronounced underbite is like, a volunteer gives her opinion after spending a few hours with Bing Bong:

“BB’s great at meeting and greeting new human and doggie pals alike, walks nicely for his size, never guards his toys, sits like a champ for treats and mouths them gently too. He’s not too happy about being cooped up in a kennel but keeps a clean and tidy den and seems to be quite house trained, waiting patiently until we hit the street to do all his business. A gentle yet energetic giant with the smarts and good manners to pass his behavior assessment with flying colors … You’ll never outgrow him and he’ll always be by your side, playing, snuggling and snortling his way through a lifetime of happy family memories.”

  1. Scumbag owner! What about his sister? Hoping Bing Bong finds a secure and loving home. That owner needs to be tied to a tree and forgotten!

  2. Where is his sister?? She is not listed!! When I searched for their litter ID number, only Bing Bong is listed. Where is she????

  3. PLEASE some rescue come through for Bing Bong – he is a delightful dog who was dumped by some piss poor example of an owner and now is in the hands of another animal abuser – RISA WEINSTOCK who does not care one bit about any animal. She kills them daily no matter how adoptable they are. Bing Bong & his sister deserve the safe loving home they never had. PLEASE SAVE THEM.

  4. Yes Fucking shit for brains owners….someone please help these 2 sweeties…. She looks so sweet and doesn’t deserve to die ????????????????????????????????????????????????

  5. Those ASSHOLES in NYCC need to STOP ALL THE KILLING!!!!! There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for them to continue to kill these innocent babies unless they ENJOY doing it!!!!! They have to be fired. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!!!Please SAVE HIM!!!!

  6. I honestly don’t understand WHY these shelters wait until the last minute to post these sad stories.

Not everyone can drop what they’re doing to adopt a pet. Not everyone has transportation etc.

More animals would get adopted if the shelters gave ample time.

  7. The only reason this baby will die is because all you chit chatting asses don’t go there and save him. You have yourself to blame when this baby is murdered and this baby will be murdered because none of you have the balls to actually save this poor soul!!!!

    • You are so right, I should board my 4 dogs, jump in my car and drive the 941 miles to New York City and rescue this dog, drive the 941 miles back home and see if he will adapt to my other 4 dogs. Or maybe I should load all 4 dogs into my car and drive down there and see if they will all get along. Never mind I can’t afford another dog. Tell me why don’t you go get him? You can tell us what we should do, how about you? I have shared this dog with all the rescues in the area I know. So the only reason this dog might die is not because all of us “chit chatting asses” are doing NOTHING!

      • WTG Barkley’s Mom. Connie parker is so quick to criticize us and assume we haven’t tried to help these dogs find rescues, fosters and homes. Has she? I doubt it since she hasn’t mentioned it.

    • What have you done to save Bing Bong? So quick to make judgments! Please let us know WHEN you have saved him!

      • Does anyone know if Bing Bong and Kimmie were rescued? I can’t find any info on the NYC ACC website.

      • Both still listed. Kimmie is on Pet Harbor but for some reason is not on NYC Urgent Dog site. Bing Bong is on NYC Urgent Dog site and Kimmie is mentioned in his listing w/o her ID number. BOTH STILL LISTED TUES MAY 9!!!!

  8. I’m sharing Bing Bong and Kimmie on my FB page here in Texas!! Do we know if they are rescue only? Do they have transport available for out of state rescue/adoption?

    • Bing Bong’s sister Kimmie wasn’t even listed on the Urgent Dogs site until tonight, just hours before she is scheduled to die. She has barely been publicized, featured, shared, networked. I am sick. She has not been given a fair chance.
