Rescuer makes shocking announcement
Spread the love

If you know her, or know of her, you love her. Janice Wolf, the founder of Rocky Ridge Refuge, is well known for her magical ways with animals – she has taken in some of the most heartbreaking cases of neglect and abuse and she literally makes miracles happen.

Now, Wolf is in need of her own miracle. On Friday, she reluctantly let her faithful Facebook followers know that she has been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Making the situation worse – it is believed that the cancer has likely spread.

Wolf did not release her personal information in a bid for sympathy or funds – rather, because she is concerned for the animals who are in her care. She explained:

My main concern is for the animals here. Since I have always done this alone, I must train someone to take over for me while I undergo surgery and recovery. This will be easier with fewer animals for sure, so priority is getting the adoptables gone if possible.

She was quick to remind everyone that she will not compromise on quality, loving homes for those in need – regardless of the urgency of the situation.

Suffice to say, Wolf’s thousands of supporters are in shock and they want to help. Money can’t cure cancer, but funds should be the last thing that someone battling the disease should have to worry about. A fundraiser (verified as valid by Janice) has been created – if you are interested in making a donation, you can find the link here.

Janice, I know that I speak for so many – we need you to conquer this cancer. The world is a much, much better place with you in it.

  1. Keeping this inspirational woman in our prayers. There are far too few “good” people as it is, and to see this happen to one of earth’s angels taxes my faith!
