Social media advocates are begging and pleading on behalf of a 15-year-old blind dog who is being held at a busy animal control agency in California. The elderly dog, named “Finn,” is obviously confused over his current situation – it’s terrifying and unsettling under the best of conditions, imagine being old and blind in the same conditions.

Finn arrived at the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Baldwin Park on June 14 – weeks later he remains behind bars, waiting for someone to save him. On July 4, the At-Choo Foundation wrote a post on behalf of this elderly dog:

This Professor is 15 glorious years old and has tiny eyes that he likes to keep protected by keeping his lids shut. He is BLIND. His teeth are so crappy and painful, that he doesn’t want anyone to see them. He walks with a stiff gait. And yet, he is a charmer, a little package of powerful healing love who trusts and likes other dogs.

Please help this blind senior dog find a safe haven by taking a moment to network his adoption information. Petharbor link here.

  1. Sharing with love and prayers for this precious pup, asking got for a miracle to help him find a,good loving home. Why did his owner surrender him to a kill shelter. Why he does not deserve this. Irresponsible owner no heart.

  2. I recently had a painful tooth myself–this is unacceptable for this dog to be left to endure that misery! Contact rescues directly! Do something quick!

  3. Poor baby!!!! How could anyone give this precious boy up?? Please someone adopt him or a rescue come to his aid. I wish I lived closer…..

  4. I understand that shelters have limited funds BUT to allow an animal to suffer is unacceptable – this poor dog needs to get out of this hell hole – PLEASE RESCUE FINN & THE PROFESSOR – give them safe loving homes – they deserve the best for their remainder of their lives.
