Beautiful bonded German shepherds having very tough time at crowded shelter

Two bonded German shepherds seem to be having a very tough time at the Carson Animal Care Center in California. Whether they were abandoned or lost, no one has yet to come forward to claim the beautiful dogs. It is thought they could be a mother and daughter pair – thus accounting for their very close relationship.

Click here for Treena’s Pet Harbor adoption listing. A5054159  She is a five-year-old female German shepherd who has not been spayed. She arrived at the shelter on April 26 and will be available for adoption on April 30. A Facebook page for Treena can be followed here. For further information on these dogs, contact the Carson Animal Care Center located at 216 Victoria Street in Gardena, California. Phone: 310.523.9566. Can you blame these dogs for being afraid with all the barking and strangers everywhere? Share their plights with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.

  1. Oh how could someone NOT be looking for them. Of course I am biased as German Shepherds are my dog of choice. I will be sharing and praying someone comes for them or one of the wonderful German Shepherd Rescues of California save them.

  2. Can any of these dogs get to Wisconsin? Seems like California has a lot of dogs in pounds. Ship some up here probably have better luck on them finding homes. I would be interested in the German Shepherds. Bob

  3. I keep wondering why so many people keep following the lead of the corrupt pound officials (who renamed their hell holes “shelters” many years ago, in order to spiff up their image instead of cleaning up their act). At the very LEAST, a place that KILLS the beings in their “care,” should NEVER be called a “shelter.”

Shelters are places to receive comfort and caring. Animal impound facilities are NOT “shelters.” They are still just pounds.

  4. Where is she?? I can’t find a way to contact them to see about adopting her!!
I am looking for an adult female German Shepherd!

      • do you believe it, they separated them. They took the younger one and left the mother. They returned the younger one to the owner and said they weren’t boned. I don’t believe the owner. they certainly looked bonded to me. Now they left Treena 5 years old. someone please help this lady. So sad! I fricken hate people sometimes!

    • I don’t think they’ll separate these dogs, they are bonded. For further information on these dogs, contact the Carson Animal Care Center located at 216 Victoria Street in Gardena, California. Phone: 310.523.9566.

    • In a second paragraph the BLUE print saying “Pet Harbor” . If you bring your cursor and click it you get to adopting page of one of the dogs. If you do the same on the third paragraph you will get to the page of a second dog.

    • Yes, please Susan, do not separate these two beautiful dogs, you have the compassion – both Tyra and Treena need you – you will never regret taking both of them.

  5. Praying their owners come forward or a loving favorite family adopts them……two big dogs in such a small space….why don’t they have beds?

  6. What if some volunteers will drive the dogs to the Wisconsin adopters? I bet there will be people willing to drive through a state or two. I would be happy to cover couple states of driving myself.

  7. They have separated these dogs according the Facebook page. Tyra was RTO and Treena was left, but now Treena is no longer listed on PetHarbor do we know what happened to Treena? I was very sad that they separated these two, they said afterwards that were not bonded. I don’t believe that.

  8. I wish they would update their website when animals get rescued… it is so rude and makes people start to ignore these calls for help assuming dogs have already been rescued :/
