Baisley needs a hero; if that doesn’t happen on Friday morning, this will be the big-eyed lovable dog’s last day. Meanwhile he waits at the Brooklyn’s facility of New York City Animal Care Centers; the sadness in his face captures his fate. And here’s a friendly pup – no more than two-years-old who can be publicly adopted; maybe a glowing testimonial  by a volunteer who has interacted with Baisley will help?

“This big-eyed boy is the affable, indulgent big brother you could always depend on when you were a kid, who took you to the park and brought home little gifts to delight you. Handsome Baisley projects an easy grace and charm, a masculinity that’s without bravado or pretense. His wide smile says simply, ‘It’s just me, folks, and so happy to meet you!’ On walks he adjusts himself to his companion’s pace, answers nature’s call promptly (he keeps his kennel clean), and bounces along SO cutely on his four white paws, sniffing the summer breeze. Baisley is a nice blend of softness and strength, with a friendly nature that would make him fit in well with many types of adopters.”

Baisley was brought into the shelter as a stray on June 16; therefore his history is unknown, however his professional assessments have shown him to be relaxed, friendly and playful:

“Baisley was playful and social towards the assessor. No concerns were seen during the assessment. Summary PLAYGROUP: When off leash at the Care Center, Baisley fluctuates engaging and soliciting gentle play and exploring the pen. He displays soft body language with male and female dogs. Baisley was brought in as a stray so his past behavior around other dogs is unknown. The Behavior Department recommends that Baisley be placed with resident dogs that match his calm sociability.”

Why hasn’t anyone noticed this boy? There have been no offers to foster or adopt. Share this dog’s plight with friends, family and approved rescue organizations. His Facebook page can be followed here. When inquiring about Baisley, be sure to reference A1115520.
