Answers are being sought after an injured puppy, tortured and maimed, was found wandering in Oklahoma City. According to Fox 25 News, the three-month-old puppy, dubbed Rocky, was found the day before Thanksgiving on the 1600 block of S.W. 28th Street; someone had completely cut off both of the puppy’s ears.
Rocky is recovering from the horrific cruelty at OKC Animal Welfare – amazingly, despite the severity of his injuries, he is doing well. John Gary, the shelter’s superintendent stated, “it looks really bad and we’ve had to worry about infection, so we’re fighting those things right now and hopefully nothing gets any worse.”
Rocky is in foster care and eventually he will be made available for adoption – veterinarians expect him to make a complete recovery, though he will never have ears. The person responsible for this heinous act of cruelty is being sought – if anyone has information about this case, they are asked to call investigators at (405) 297-3117.
Donations for Rocky’s veterinary care can be made at this link to OKC Animal Welfare.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you need to do more than “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”
