On Monday, a deputy with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office found three little bears while on patrol in Tahoe City, California. On the organization’s Facebook page,  the video shows the deputy shining his flashlight on the three adorable little guys as they curiously run around the Lighthouse Center complex.

Deputy Nevins can be heard asking the little fellows:

“Where are you guys going?” as the bears start to hustle away fleeing  the front of a Taco Bell store.

As if we couldn’t get enough of smiling and laughing aloud, just listening to Deputy Nevins shooing the mischievous trio away, a hilarious explanation followed on Facebook:

“Well, our resident bear whisperer, Deputy Nevins, was at it again last night in Tahoe City! He was patrolling the Lighthouse Center when he encountered these three “little” bears. Looks like the second one was trying to get into the trash can. We love how they all gathered up and took off together! Here comes the cops, run!!”

We so appreciate when wildlife is respected – nice work Deputy Nevins. You are a hero.

  1. Thanks Deputy Nevins for doing the right thing and not trying to capture these 3 young bears. They completed their journey of exploring, now back to mama bear where they belong.
