At 12 years of age, a friendly dog named “Rosie” has lost the only home that she had ever known. On Wednesday, the Friends of West Valley Animal Shelter explained:

Rosie never thought that she’d lose the only home she’s known all her life. Life was good as she’s living her golden years with her family. But her world came to an abrupt end when her family had to surrender her and her siblings.

Adding:

Rosie is a victim of both irresponsible owners and an imperfect system. Her brother Buddy (A1642134) the suspect in the case, whose crime was that he got out of their home, scared a passerby and caused the person to fall and injure himself. (note: their family failed to keep them safely contained in their home and the dogs have gotten out in the past).

Rosie no longer at home – today she spends her time alone, surrounded by concrete walls and a metal fence. Rosie needs a second chance – a warm and loving home where she can spend her days in comfort, rather than in fear.

Rosie must be adopted outside of the Los Angeles city limits. You can help Rosie find her happily-ever-after by sharing her adoption information.

She’s at the South LA Shelter, 213-485-0214.

  1. OMG, she’s so cute. I absolutely adore the seniors. I currently have 2 elderly Labs with significant health problems and there’s no way I can take on another dog.

  2. Another example of brain dead, cold hearted jerks who should never be allowed to ever own animals again! Praying that this precious sweetheart get rescued! SMH
