A woman who launched a Facebook campaign to try and find her missing senior dog, “Prince,” was heartbroken when the dog was found dead in a suitcase. According to Metro U.K., the body of the 12-year-old Jack Russell terrier was found in a discarded blue suitcase.
RSPCA inspector Sandra Dransfield is quoted in the Metro U.K publication about the heartbreaking discovery of Prince, ” I saw a post on Facebook on Wednesday morning and my heart sank, I just knew it was the same dog I’d collected the day before.”
On November 8, Prince’s owner, Jasmine Jade Ruby Armstrong, had made a Facebook post about her missing dog:
*Prince the Jack Russell is still missing** it will be 72 hours tonight at 11pm he‘s been missing!! I’m getting more & more worried by the minute. He’s 12 years old and he’s out there somewhere..he went missing on the 5th (bonfire night) around 11pm from my friends back garden who was watching him for me (Raby street, Tinsley S9) he is mostly white with some ginger patches around his head and eyes and ginger ears, he also has a ginger patch on his back.
The RSPCA is seeking leads in the troubling case – according to the inspector, there were no obvious signs of trauma on the senior dog’s body, he looked as if he simply “went to sleep.” Anyone with information is asked to call the RSPCA inspector appeal line on 0300 123 8018 and ask to leave a message for inspector Dransfield.
