In Austin, Texas, Kristen Lindsey learned Tuesday afternoon her license has been suspended for a year after she used a bow and arrow to kill a cat and posted the disturbing photo on Facebook, reports KvueNews.

Lindsey was also put on probation for four years. In April 2015, she posted the photo that immediately went viral causing outrage across the country.

“My first bow kill. The only good feral cat is one with a bow through its head! Vet of the year award… gladly accepted,” Lindsey commented beneath the photo.

Days later, Kristen Lindsey was fired from her job, however she was never charged with animal cruelty. Since then, however there have been detailed discussions with the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners as to whether she should keep her license to practice veterinary medicine. Several people involved in the incident, including the person who owned the dead cat named Tiger, testified in tears at the board meetings. A co-worker of Kristen Lindsey told the board she overheard her boss and landlord telling Lindsey to “take care of the cat,” thus suggesting to Lindsey to shoot the cat.

In August, the State Office of Administrative Hearings recommended the one-year suspension and four-year probation. In addition, they requested she attend continuing education and spend 100 hours in community service. The terms were agreed upon by the Texas Board Tuesday afternoon. Rest in peace Tiger. We are sorry a human made you suffer – especially a veterinarian sworn to protect you.

  1. Only ONE YEAR????? I hope people who live in whatever area she decides to practice in after that time will make sure all clients know just who they are trusting the health and well-being of their pets to. There needs to be a boycott of any clinic that hires this monster.

  2. Wow suspended for a full year! way to go Veterinary Board, I’m glad I don’t live in Texas and have to take my pets to anyone you certify! I’m sure also the probation and 100 hours of “community service” will be a meaningful punishment! (sarcasm) And I find it a stretch that a co-worker of Kristen Lindsey told the board she overheard her boss and landlord telling Lindsey to “take care of the cat,” did he really want her to “kill” the cat? If so, ans he is also a Vet than he is as bad as she is! This woman is disgusting and shouldn’t be allowed near someone’s pet ever!

  3. Shoot the fuck evil scum through head with a blunt arrow. NEVER let her near a practice again. DIE VILE SCUM. Animals deserve a voice and compassion

  4. She should be forced to have the picture of her killing Tiger posted in every room of her office when she is allowed to practice again (something that she should never have been allowed to do except for the stupid decision made by the Texas board). Then at least people going to her will be warned of her true beliefs toward pets.

    • Posting her Infamous Photo in every Office this arrogant woman works in a Great Idea!!! too bad the medical board for overseeing Veterinary Practice in Texas doesn’t have any Common Sense !!!

  5. ONLY IN the ” NO STAR OF TEXAS”! This state and one hell of a lot of it’s residents could care LESS about the LIVES of ANIMALS of ANY KIND!!!! This is a State full of Soul less Individuals from Legislative, Judicial, on down the line!!! Vets are supposed to be the Protectors and Voices of the Animals they Pledged to Care for and Heal with COMPASSION!!!! What the Hell happened Here!!! A nice set of T’s and A !!!!

    • I have to agree with you it would seem whoever wrote the article is “pro-animal” abuse. NOT one response that isn’t sticking up for this POS veterinarian, may she rot in Hell!

  6. Post this bitches address, maybe someone can put a few arrows in her!!! What the hell is that psyco bitch doing in a profession that is supposed to care about and help animals, or did she get into it to cover her sick desire to see and cause animals more pain!!!

  7. SHE ONLY LOST HER LICENSE FOR A YEAR . HOW TYPICAL .THATS WHY PEOPLE KEEP ON ABUSING ANIMALS . THEY GET NO PUNISHMENT . SHES A VET . YEAH I WOULD REALLY WANT TO TAKE MY PET TO HER . AS FOR HER COMMENT THAT THE ONLY GOOD FERAL CAT IS A DEAD ONE . I TAKE GREAT OFFENSE TO THAT COMMENT . AS A VOLUNTEER FOR THE BEST FERAL CAT CLINIC ANYWAY . I HAVE SEEN SO MANY BUSY TALENTED VETS SPEND THEIR DAY OFF FIXING CARING AND LOVING THESE CATS . THAT I THINK SHE HAS DISGRACED HERSELF N SHOULDNT CALL HERSELF A VET IN THE SAME BREATHE AS THE VETS I KNOW . SHE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HERSELF N SHOULD BE IN JAIL .
