A New Jersey teen is accused of breaking a puppy’s neck. According to the Burlington County SPCA Humane Police, the accused man, identified as 18-year-old Quintin Segars, broke the neck of a relative’s adopted seven-month-old puppy on October 3.

On Wednesday, the SPCA Humane Police described what officers found on the day of the incident, “Humane Police responded to a call by the Florence Township Animal Control Officer. When police arrived they found the puppy, a 7 month old white Malti Poo mix, wrapped in a blanket.”

The puppy had been adopted by Segars’ relative just three days before being killed. According to NJ.com, the puppy was allegedly killed in the midst of an argument between Segars and a relative – the puppy is believed to have been ‘swung by the neck’ before dying.

The teen accused of the heinous crime is facing a charge of animal cruelty, specifically, “Inflicting unnecessary cruelty on a living creature” and “Causing the death of a living creature,” for the puppy’s death.

  1. There is no redemption for someone that does something like this. I suppose probation and “anger management” classes will be the punishment and in the mean time this POS has killed an innocent puppy. This is heartbreaking and I hope the POS rots in Hell!
