To whomever tortured Max – “may the fleas of a thousand camels invade your crotch, ruin your day, and may it also be that your arms are too short to scratch.”
Animal advocates are hoping to find the perfect person who can give Max a home and care for the egregious and painful injuries this dog suffered at the hands of cruelty beyond comprehension. He came to the San Bernardino City Shelter with chemical burns on his back. Although Max did have a microchip, the people contacted stated they gave the dog away a long ago and “didn’t remember who they gave him to.”

A volunteer describes Max as follows:
“This patient A497013 was brought into Advanced Pet Care on 8/23/16 with a severe chemical burn on his back. Unfortunately he is not able to be returned to the shelter in his condition. His out take date is 8/30/16. We need a rescue’s help ASAP. We are calling him Max. He is a 2-year-old pit bull mix, blue and white, NEUTERED male. Max is great with people, not cage aggressive; he does not react to the aggressive dogs however we have not had him out with any other dogs one on one because of his injury. He will require continued treatment for his wounds… This poor boy has been dumped from home to home. Dr Harrison feels he has been through enough. He needs our help and yours. He is super sweet and should not be put down when he can heal; it will just take time. Please contact Advanced Pet Care if you can help.”
