He’s a special nine-year-old German shepherd and Labrador retriever mix – so special that the staff at the San Bernardino City Shelter in California sent out a special request to help find him a loving home. Friends have named him Walter. Described as being very sweet, mellow and loving people, this dog will make a great addition to any family. He doesn’t care about other dogs and walks well on a leash.ShepA496152 A volunteer writes:

Walter is 9 years old and is so laid back and just wants to cuddle on his bed or on the couch. He’ll just hang out and follow his family as they go through his day. Let’s get this amazing and soulful boy adopted today!”

Follow Walter’s Facebook page on Pets Connect Us by clicking here.  When Walter came into the shelter, he suffered from an ear infection which has since been treated with antibiotics. The shelter is overcrowded, hot and not a suitable place for a senior dog. Please share his plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives, and every life is worth saving.

For more information about Walter, contact the San Bernardino City Shelter. Phone: 909-384-1304 (*you will reach the call center and must ask to be put through to the shelter), Address: 333 Chandler Pl., San Bernardino, CA 92408.
