Ten orphaned puppies were found abandoned on the side of the road in Needville, Texas earlier this week. Fortunately the cruel act was witnessed by a Good Samaritan who has since reported the information to authorities. The puppies were all transported to the Fort Bend Animal Control.

On Friday, Sheriff Troy E. Nehls posted the following to his Facebook page:

“I will pay the adoption fee for anyone that will come adopt one of these puppies on November 1. I hope to owe for all 10. 281-342-1512 FBC Animal Control.”ten-puppies-2

At the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with first responders, a calendar featuring Special Pals Shelter, have published a new calendar to raise funds for the no-kill shelter shelter serving the Katy/West Houston community. Eight local agencies are represented in the calendar. The goal is to raise funds and awareness for Special Pals and the animals, and recognize first responders who protect our communities every day. The puppies will all be available for adoption on November 1. It is not known if the puppies are from one litter or several; their mother has not been found, and therefore their breed is unknown. The puppies are extremely sweet and absolutely adorable, but please don’t adopt a pup if you are unable to make a lifetime commitment to their care.ten-puppies-3
