On September 3, a service puppy in training was stolen from a farm in Milton, Georgia. According to the Bring Dorie Home Facebook page, “Dorie,” the three-month-old golden retriever puppy was taken from the Canine Assistants Farm, along with her service vest, and she has not been seen since.

According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Dorie disappeared from her kennel sometime between the night of September 3, and the morning of September 4.  Jennifer Arnold, Founder and Executive Director of Canine Assistants, told Fox 5, “This is the first time in 25 years we have ever had a puppy stolen from our farm, and considering the facts, we can only assume the person(s) involved knew our system and they had a clear intention to take Dorie along with her service vest.”

The reward to bring Dorie safely back home has grown to $3,500. Dorie is not microchipped yet and she has not been spayed.

Find Dorie’s Facebook page here. Anyone with information about Dorie is asked to contact Canine Assistant at (770) 664-7178 ext. 201 or via email [email protected].
