“Saddest Tweets to Tweet – Mommy is gone.” The Twitter post shared just hours ago on the Twitter account for Carrie Fisher’s service dog, “Gary,” who is now alone – without his beloved owner, actress Carrie Fisher, of Star Wars fame, who died after suffering a major heart attack.

Carrie Fisher, who portrayed Princess Leia in the “Star Wars” movies, passed away on Tuesday, just days after suffering a massive heart attack while on a United Airlines flight from London to Los Angeles. Carrie Fisher was just 60 years of age.

Shortly after Fisher’s death, co-star Mark Hammill posted a brief Facebook post stating a mere “No Words#Devastated” to express the tragic loss. Thousands of comments to Hammill’s post have been made by fans who are stunned at the actress’ unexpected demise.

Fisher’s mother, star Debbie Reynolds, had just posted a positive update to Twitter on Christmas Day that her Carrie was in stable condition…on Tuesday, Reynolds posted to Facebook:

Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love Carries Mother

Gary was with Fisher on the flight when she suffered the cardiac event – he was also seen at the hospital in Los Angeles, California, where she was receiving treatment following her heart attack.
