In Farmingville, New York, a veteran’s 13-year-old cat was tortured and killed according to the Suffolk County SPCA. A  $2,000 reward has been offered for the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the “heinous act of animal cruelty.”

On November 2, the body of Uma had been left at her owner’s home; the senior cat had been tortured, mutilated and killed. According to the Suffolk County SPCA’s Facebook page, the beloved cat, who never strayed from home, had been disemboweled and her body placed on top of a cat shelter in the family’s yard. Her owner is a decorated war veteran, and the family is devastated, reported the Long Island News.

A necropsy had been ordered to determine the exact cause of death. On Saturday, SPCA agents and volunteers canvassed the area where Uma was found hoping to uncover new information. Please share and call 631-382-7722 with any information. Help Uma find justice.

  1. This case does cry out for ‘an eye for an eye’ justice!!! The piece of filth who did this is not only an animal abuser / torturer / killer, but a vicious scumbag who decided to torment the owner, a veteran, as well. It sounds like a neighbor to me, and that neighbor is someone who needs to die just as painfully as the cat in every single detail. A scumbag like this will not be missed by anyone except equally foul cesspool dwellers.

  2. Disgusting act of evil. I hope this person crosses paths with someone meaner, badder and more evil than him and suffers a similar fate.
