In Midland, Texas, a puppy barely a year old is lucky to be alive. When found on the side of the road by a Good Samaritan Monday morning, it appeared as if the bull terrier’s burns had eaten away his tissue down to the bone.
When called, Stacey Silverstein, co-founder of Rescue Dogs Rock NYC stepped forward to help.
“All we want to do now is help poor Loki who has suffered so much at the hands of evil, neglectful and abusive humans,” stated Stacey. “We have taken Loki into our rescue so that he can receive the ongoing medical care he needs.”
Originally thought to have been burns from flea and tick medication, veterinarians at the emergency hospital where Loki is being treated, stated the burns were intentional and most likely chemical as the injuries spread over the dog’s entire back. Loki also suffers from mange, and is tragically one of the worst burn case victims the rescue organization has even seen.
And of course, Loki is described as extremely sweet and affectionate. Dumped on the side of the road as if he was nothing more than trash, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC will now ensure this young dog gets the finest and best care available. His past is forever gone – onward to a new life. To help, please click here. Pay pal – Donate@rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
