Puppy horrifically injured after throw from car

A horrifically injured puppy is recovering after someone threw her from a moving car in Florence, Alabama, on Monday evening. According to WHNT News, a witness saw someone toss a bag out of a white Nissan and drive away – the witness noticed that the bag was moving and found the injured puppy inside.

The white puppy has abrasions over much of her face and one of her eyes was dislodged from its socket – the injured puppy is recuperating under the care of the Florence Animal Control.

The cruel incident reportedly took place on the 2700 block of Cole Avenue – the vehicle is described as a white Nissan Altima with no vehicle tag and red lights underneath. According to a witness, the car was driven by a black man.

The Florence Police Department stated:

Officers searched throughout the night, without success, for the suspect in this case. We will coordinate our efforts with the officers of Florence Animal Control in this case.
