A young puppy was fatally burned by someone in Columbia, South Carolina. According to Saturday’s WLTX News, the injured eight-to-10 week-old puppy was discovered in the parking lot of a church on Saturday night.

The cruel situation, which took place outside of the Grace United Methodist Church on Harbison Boulevard, was reported to the authorities around 7 p.m. on Saturday – a witness advised that a black man in his 20s, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, was seen with the female pit bull puppy before the police arrived.

The grievously wounded pup was rushed to the South Carolina Animal Hospital for treatment, but she did not survive the injuries. Anyone with information about this heinous act of cruelty is asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
