In a despicable case of animal cruelty, the High Prairie RCMP Detachment has launched an investigation for information into a collie left to die in a dumpster  Peavine Waste Transfer Site in Alberta, Canada reports the organization.dog-left-to-die-in-dumpster

On October 1, the collie mix was found and rushed to the High Prairie Vet Clinic where she  was diagnosed in a near death condition. Her muzzle had been taped shut. When discovered, her face and head were swollen from having been taped. Blood was on the back of her head – having been shot; her front legs were broken, and in the dumpster she suffered. Due to the seriousness of her injuries, the dog was humanely euthanized, however this isn’t the end of another tragic story of animal abuse and cruelty.

Bobby Wasylciw, the owner of Velocity Plumbing of High Prairie, was so moved and disturbed by the collie’s suffering, he offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the individual responsible. On his company’s Facebook page, the response was immediate and a link to a fundraiser was announced with the proceeds over a $2,000 reward to be forwarded to the In the Woods Animal Rescue.dog-left-to-die-in-dumpster-2

The Woods Animal Rescue asks that compassionate people not let the death of this tortured soul go unanswered. “Please call the rescue at [780] 322-2652 or the High Prairie police department … we will not stop until the person or people are found.”

The High Prairie RCMP Detachment is seeking information and or witnesses to this tragic event. If you have any information please contact the High Prairie RCMP Detachment 780-523-3370.

Rest in peace sweet dog; we are sorry that humans let you down and made you suffer.
