UPDATE: Max made his freedom walk today – August 10th. Happy life Max!
How anyone could walk away from Max at the high kill and overcrowded Baldwin Animal Shelter in the middle of the summer is beyond logic, but this 10-year-old German shepherd sadly waits for his family to return. His eyes concentrate on the visitors walking by his cage; Max hoping against hope that his people will return. Tragically, he was surrendered, but how does one explain to a dog he is no longer wanted? After all Max’s loyalty to his family has never wavered.
Click here for Max’s Pet Harbor listing. Max ID#A2326968. “My name is Max and I am described as a male, tan and black German Shepherd Dog mix. The shelter thinks I am about 10 years old. I have been at the shelter since July 27, 2016.” As there are no mandatory hold periods for surrendered pets, Max’s future hangs by a string. Please share his plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives, and Max needs help. A Facebook page for this beautiful senior can be found here.

When did people lose their humanity? No one cares about anything or anyone but themselves. Sorry bastards, but that’s okay, you’ll pay in the end.
Will they suffer as much as the animals? I don’t think so, the same should be done to them, I have no feelings for them they are not human.
Again and again and again.
The look on his face breaks my heart. Those heartless bastards that left him there! Prayers he finds his way out. shared!
i wish he finds a home soon.if i was close bye i would take him.
I hope their children dump them in a nursing home facility and never come back !! Karma!!
