“I don’t understand why she is continuously overlooked,” are the bewildered words expressed on behalf of a sweet dog who has been sitting at an animal control agency in Summerdale, Alabama, since February. The overlooked dog is one-year-old “Hazel,” and she is waiting to be noticed at the Baldwin County Animal Control.

The Mobile and Baldwin County – Urgent Dogs Facebook page states:

Say hello to sweet Hazel! Hazel is a sweet 1 year old, 50 pound, Lab/Bulldog mix. She is very friendly and very deserving of a wonderful home. Hazel would love to be your new best friend. She only has a limited amount of time and is currently on the euth list!

Hazel did not ask to be locked away – Hazel did not ask to be living without a family of her own. If Hazel had the ability to ask, with more than her expressive brown eyes, she would likely say, “consider me, I am worthy of your love.”

Hazel is described as dog friendly – she is young, beautiful and deserving of a loving, safe home.

According to the networking Facebook page, the facility is over capacity and all dogs being held there are considered to be “at risk,” and urgent. Please help Hazel find her way out of this facility, and into a loving home, by taking a moment to share her adoption information. Click here to complete an application to foster or adopt.

  1. dnt kill the dogs.let them have a life on a farm or let someone foster the dog.each dog killed is a 4 legged kid wearing fur.so you are killing kids and little kids heart when you kill the animals.

  2. Please pledge for Hazel to attract a rescue. $400 or more is usually necessary for a rescue to pull.
ADOPT HAZEL AND SHE’LL BE FREE IMMEDIATELY!!! OUT OF STATE TRANSPORT COULD BE ARRANGED IF YOU ARE NOT LOCAL. DON’T LET HER DIE IN THE SHELTER!
SHARE SHARE SHARE!!! With love from Georgia!

  3. Someone, please find it in your heart to save sweet Hazel. I pledged $100 already to a reputable rescue to save her but can’t afford any more right now. I can’t adopt her because I am in Ohio and already at my city’s limit for dogs. Right now all I can do is share and pray someone saves her life. She must be very special if the shelter has let her stay since February but they are full and she is running out of time. Can someone help get Hazel out of the shelter and onto a loving forever home?
