UPDATE: Rescued by Leave No Paws Behind where every life matters.
Little Bobby arrived at the overflowing high kill Downey Animal Shelter in California on the eve of the 4th of July weekend. His little face tells his story of heartbreak and loneliness. Having been in one home for his entire 12 years, did the graying of his muzzle or the interest in a new puppy bring Bobby to his tragic fate? There are no lines waiting to adopt him, nor have any rescues shown any interest.
Click here for Bobby’s adoption information. A4967619. “My name is Bobby and I’m an approximately 12 year old male chihuahua sh. I am already neutered. I have been at the Downey Animal Care Center since June 30, 2016. I will be available on July 30, 2016. You can visit me at my temporary home at D406.” Volunteers describe him as overweight and geriatric. There are no additional notes, but his latest photo paints a very tragic story.
A Facebook page for Bobby can be found here or here. Share this little guy’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives, and Bobby has no one else except for advocates who share stories and save hundreds, if not thousands of lives.

This photo speaks volumes. Heartbreaking. Please someone step up for him.
the dog misses his owner.the dogs and cats are 4 legged kids wearing fur.that is why the animals act like that.they just feel like little kids do when they donot have mommmy or daddy inthey lives.treat the animals with alot of love.
Keeping little Bobby in our prayers, I hope she finds a loving place to live out his remaining years.
Oops HE!

I’m in Atlanta and have another senior. If we can make arrangements to get him to me, I’ll take him!!!
Just read Bobby passed away, so thankful he passed in loving arms and not that cold shelter, that he was in for way too long, I’m sure it contributed to his health. It’s like he hung on to pass in loving arms and Comfort.
Was nice to see his smile in the photo.♡
