UPDATE: Rescued by Leave No Paws Behind where every life matters.
Little Bobby arrived at the overflowing high kill Downey Animal Shelter in California on the eve of the 4th of July weekend. His little face tells his story of heartbreak and loneliness. Having been in one home for his entire 12 years, did the graying of his muzzle or the interest in a new puppy bring Bobby to his tragic fate? There are no lines waiting to adopt him, nor have any rescues shown any interest.

I have been at the Downey Animal Care Center since June 30, 2016. I will be available on July 30, 2016. You can visit me at my temporary home at D406.” Volunteers describe him as overweight and geriatric. There are no additional notes, but his latest photo paints a very tragic story.
A Facebook page for Bobby can be found here or here. Share this little guy’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives, and Bobby has no one else except for advocates who share stories and save hundreds, if not thousands of lives.
