The name of the man who is seen in photos, pointing a gun at the head of a puppy, has been released by the authorities, reported Friday’s WHNT News.  Last weekend, the shocking photos were posted to Facebook, and shortly thereafter, police in Sheffield, Alabama, were inundated with demands from outraged people who wanted the man to be investigated.

After an investigation, the authorities have released the man’s name – the suspect is identified as Zachary Wade Moore, Jr. Though there are no warrants for Moore’s arrest, he is wanted for questioning.

Sheffield Police Chief Greg Ray commented on the disturbing images which were circulating on Facebook:

“The puppy was in his lap, pointing a gun to the puppy’s head. There were some comments made that you know I certainly don’t want to give out over the air that was on his Facebook page. It was just nauseating what you saw.”

Anyone who has information about the whereabouts of Zachary Wade Moore, Jr. is asked to reach out to the Sheffield Police at (256) 383-1771.

  1. Why aren’t cruelty laws being enforced? It is emotional cruelty to viewers just to watch this POS. I hope they removed that poor pup!
