Lab puppy shot and killed and dumped in trash bag

In Chatsworth, Georgia, a family is trying their best to deal with the horrific discovery of their ten-month-old  puppy that had been shot and killed. Beau, their loving and adorable yellow Labrador retriever, was found miles from their home dumped in a trash bag. puppy-shot-and-killed2

According to WrcbNews, the family had been relaxing at home when someone knocked at their door. Just moments before dog owner, Hannah Mayo could answer, she heard gun shots, and within moments two of her three dogs were spotted running towards the house. Their Lab puppy Beau, however was missing, and Hannah only assumed he had been scared off by the sound of the gun shots. Tragically, that was not the case. Beau was  found three hours later and miles away; the pup had been shot in the head and stuffed in a trash bag. The grocery bag barely covered his head.

“Ruthlessly dumped, so we may never have found him,” Hannah stated. ‘No idea what happened to him if we couldn’t find his body. I don’t understand how people could do that.”

Hannah took Beau for a walk everyday, and his disposition was just like anyone would expect from the gentle breed. When left outside with the other dogs, they were never without supervision for more that five to ten minutes. Unfortunately it only took a moment for someone to kill the friendly pooch.

The family hopes to find some justice for Beau. Authorities are calling it an act of animal cruelty. Anyone with information is asked to call the Murray County Sheriff’s Office at 706.695.4592.

Rest in peace Beau.

POS people I hope they find the culprits, however, I could never let my dogs roam around free for fear of them running away or crazy assholes like the one that killed Beau. I have a fenced in backyard for my babies.

After watching the video, it looks like there is a fenced yard (I could see a fence – not sure if it was all the way around the house). I wonder why the dogs weren’t contained. My dogs are always in my fenced backyard and I rarely let them stay for 30 seconds before I’m looking outside and making sure they’re okay.

You NEVER leave your dogs outside – especially without a safely fenced yard. I suspect it was a fricking hunter who blamed the dogs for scaring off his prey. RIP, sweet pup. I hope you get justice!

It’s getting so you can’t leave them outside by themselves even WITH a safely fenced yard, Lately I’ve seen stories of dogs being shot through their fence. It’s a dangerous world out there. Too many gun happy people out there!

There has to be more to this story. Where were the dogs? Where they in the front yard or the back yard? It makes no difference the dog was till shot by some pos. But would like to know their location?

This poor little Beau paid the ultimate price for being out without human company monitoring the three…. This is just sickening !!! Weren’t the owners aware that Georgia is a Gun Happy. Shoot Happy, Red Neck State… that has little regard for life, dog, cat, livestock, and Human???? That poor little dog…

They were running from the front yard into the house and poor Beau didn’t make it. I myself don’t understand why owners would allow their dogs to roam free,

I’ll tell you what kind of person shoots a 10 month old puppy, A low life scum bag who just wanted to kill something. I hope and pray these people find out who did this to Beau, He didn’t get miles away with a bag over his head by himself!
