A gorgeous, injured German shepherd, who appears to possibly have a broken leg, is struggling at a busy animal control agency in California. The dog, dubbed “Ginger,” has been at the Carson Animal Services facility in Gardena, since December 10 – in the time that has passed, nobody has come forward to take her home.
On December 19, the volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Dogs, wrote, “GINGER is still dealing with her broken leg and she was so stressed when she was spayed that she got into it with a little chihuahua. She now needs help, she is uncomfortable and confused and it doesn’t look like her family is coming. Please SHARE for her life, she is VERY special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save her. Thanks!”
A video was taken of Ginger at the facility – the footage shows her unable to put weight on one of her rear legs. Please share Ginger’s information and help her find a reputable rescue group that can take her in and get her the help that she needs.
GINGER – ID#A5018117
My name is Ginger and I am described as a spayed female, black and brown German Shepherd Dog

Soooooo are they going to fix her leg. Pisses me off when certain facts are left out.
Unless a rescue gets her they will probably murder her. So sad that they let her be in pain for this long, hopefully a rescue will see this and she can get some help.
Carson , Baldwin, Lancaster and the other Shelters in Southern California especially don’t fix the animals that are injured… in fact most or euthanized pretty darn soon … it just tears you up to see the way California down south and San Bernindino euthanize .. They won’t deal with out of state rescues, or people out of state preferring to put the animal down… this is so very sad….
She’s been there for 10 days and they spayed her. I would think that if they were going to fix her leg they would have done so while she was under anaesthesia. just my opinion.
IKR!
since this is NOT a no kill shelter I suspect they will not try to fix her leg. If not rescued she will be euthanized. No money to fix up dogs that are not adopted
harsh fact. Not enough money or adopters
.
Probably not……or they would have done it when she had her spay surgery. What worthless people!
True, SMH on their reasons for not fixing her leg and continued pain.
They should of fixed her leg first then spay not the other way I’m so heartbroken for her and the rest of them poor dogs????????????
Why can’t they address her medical needs. Please someone give Ginger some medical attention. This leg definitely needs fixed or it might be a problem in the future. What horrrible person would dump this dog in this condition at a shelter. Was shepucked up as a stray? She looks like she might have had a home. She is beautiful.

Shelter wont fix but a rescue will if they have enough pledges.
Ann what I don’t understand is it indicates they had her spayed but not mend her leg.
I dont understand that either!
I want her and will fix her leg/hip. Can I get a phone number for this shelter??
I clicked on her ID number and she’s no longer there.
I wish I knew if she was rescued!!!!
