With a huge smile like this, shouldn’t adopters be lining up to offer this young dog a home? Let’s hope so, but sharing her adorable photo on social media will hopefully help to find that one special person to keep this adorable dog smiling for the rest of her life.
At the Polk County, GA Animal Adoption and Recovery Shelter, this girl’s intake card states she came in on October 18 and was made available for adoption the same day – obviously she had been an owner surrender. Listed as a shepherd mix and only two years old, her kennel number is listed as 33771632. Animal advocates insist she is a cattle dog or possibly an Australian shepherd. Her popularity increased after shelter volunteer Shannon Hicks captured her photo with the huge smile and a lighthearted comment stating:
Kathy **** “She’s like I ate all my dinner now may I ppplease have desert?”
A Facebook page for this girl can be followed by clicking here. Although the “smile” may not always mean a “smile” as humans perceive, the gesture is commonly one of submissiveness or being glad to see someone. Observing this dog’s body language, it seems she might be “playing to the photographer.” There has been no information as to her temperament. For further information, contact the shelter located at 1215 Veal Street, Cedartown, Georgia or call (770) 749-8908.
Please share this dog’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives and every life counts.
