ADOPTED! Many thanks for sharing this puppy’s story.

A seven-month-old German shepherd puppy barely responds to anyone at the Baldwin Park Shelter in California. Brought in as a stray on September 12, this gorgeous dog refused to even stand for her adoption photo.

Click here for the pup’s Pet Harbor listing. ID#A4991931. “I am described as a female, black and tan German Shepherd Dog. The shelter thinks I am about 7 months old. I have been at the shelter since Sep 12, 2016.” For more information about this animal, call Los Angeles County Animal Control – Baldwin Park at (626) 962-3577.

According to volunteers, the puppy doesn’t appear to be sick; no further information has been shared as to her situation. Please share her plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. A shelter is just no place for a puppy. A Facebook page for her can be followed here as advocates pledge funds for an approved rescue.

  1. How does a beautiful pup like this get picked up as a stray and nobody is looking for her. I pray she gets out of there and finds a loving home. I have shared this.

  2. Please find a GSD rescue to pull that girl. Baldwin Park is a death trap. I live in the Midwest and know this to be true! Their reputattion is well traveled.

  3. I would like to know more updates and details about the female german shepard, in los angeles county aminal control, id#A-4991931. Im interesting, I was wondering about adopting her to a home, my friend lost his dog and, he wants a german shepard just what he had.And she was a girl,i thought if I could find one befour Christmas it would be a good gift to him and light his eyes up like she did when he had her.He has health problems and she was his buddy, she was always with him.So please read this if you don’t mind and get back at me and let me know here my number.(502)200-3655, I have facebook its [email protected] my name is Jennifer decker.

  4. She’s now safe and under emergency vet care…very high fever and sick. Donations for her care can be sent to German Shepherd Rescue Oragne County marked for “Allie”, the name my friend and her GSROC partner gave her. I’m sending a check….

    • Shows you how much these shelters know, she was sick all the time and nobody did anything for her. Sending prayers her way. German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County is one of the good ones. Will be looking to donate for her too. thank you for the update.

  5. So happy to hear he was adopted. People dont realize that dogs have feelings and emotions just like us. Only difference they forgive. Most humans do not. Wishing him the best of life and care
