A Sanford, Florida man pleaded guilty on Monday to animal cruelty for slamming his girlfriend’s dog against a wall multiple times – breaking the dog’s neck and her back legs. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Jan Cornel Henry Jr., 42, was sentenced to prison for the next three years for slamming the dog against a wall causing her death.
On March 6, a Seminole County deputy found the dead dog underneath Henry’s couch; it’s head was at an odd angle. Just moments earlier, Henry’s girlfriend had called 911 emergency screaming that the man had been killing her small, white dog. The couple had been in a heated domestic dispute, but the girlfriend wouldn’t leave without her dog who Henry refused to release.
When the deputy arrived, he found fresh blood on Henry’s pants and holes in the walls of the living room covered with blood splatters. Henry was arrested that night.
Henry has prior convictions of cocaine and had been placed on parole. Rest in peace little dog.
