On Sunday evening, animal advocates and volunteers from the Carson Animal Care Center posted an emergency plea for help with a severe injured six-year-old German shepherd brought into the shelter as a stray after she was hit by a car.

Dubbed Skye (A5011372) her intake date is listed as November 12. The shelter is treating Skye, who has been initially diagnosed with a dislocated jaw. She is currently being treated with pain medication and according to shelter volunteers, just arrived this evening. A Facebook page can be followed here.

Tere DeJovel: “SHE’S being treated and her bed is on the inside of the kennel. It was hot today so she went to the other side.”

Skye is pictured wearing a jaw brace and needs immediate help from an approved rescue. Advocates are pledging funds to help a rescue organization with her veterinary costs. Please share Skye’s plight with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives, and Skye needs immediate help. For more information, contact the Carson Animal Care Center located at 216 Victoria Street in Gardena, California. Phone: 310.523.9566.
