A dying dog was found wrapped in carpet, near a pile of garbage, on Friday on a mountainside in South Wales, reported Sunday’s publication of the Telegraph. The ailing dog, a long-haired white German shepherd, was in poor condition when he was first discovered by a good Samaritan in the remote mountain area in the Rhymney Valley.

Though the dog was taken to a veterinarian for round-the-clock care, it was determined on Sunday that his condition was too severe for recovery and the difficult decision was made for him to be humanely euthanized.

A spokesperson for the RSPCA commented on the veterinarian’s decision to end the dog’s life:

“Very sadly, despite being given round-the-clock treatment and monitored in the hope he would make some improvement, the local independent vet said there was no hope of recovery and that the kindest thing to do was put the dog to sleep to prevent further suffering.

“This was a very difficult decision which was heartbreaking for the staff caring for him, but one taken with the best welfare of the dog in mind.”

The RSPCA charity is hopeful that someone in the area will be able to provide information about this sad situation.

  3. R>I>P>SWEETIE PIE. Find the bastard who did this terrible cruelty why on hell dident they get help instead of letting the dog suffer

  4. Who commited this heinous act deserves No mercy….. they need to be caught and dealt with severely.

  5. My heart bleeds as I read this cruel…barbaric…heartless act forced onto a defenceless, voiceless beautiful dog. The person who did this must be charged with the crime and jailed. Dogs, just like all the other animals, are beautiful creatures who provide us with unconditional love and devotion. No anima deserves to die in such a cruel manner.

  6. One Good Deed Deserves Another – so the proverb goes. Punish the culprit the same way he Murdered this Beloved Boy. Rest in Peace Baby.
I thought these Boys had Chips – didn’t it help locate the Murderer???
