Recently, a person drove to the Inland Valley Humane Society in Pomona, California, with several dogs who were delivered to the facility in a trailer full of horse poop. Apparently the individual who was surrendering the dogs did not want to remove the dogs from the fecal matter, so shelter staff had to come out and get the soon-to-be homeless dogs themselves.
An area networker, who is hoping that these discarded dogs can beat the odds, wrote the following tidbit on Facebook about a brief encounter with the homeless dogs:
One of these in this kennel is 13. I thought it was cute that when they came over to greet me, the senior would growl at them for stepping over her but then they would return and all give her kisses kind of letting her know it was okay.
Hopefully a rescue wants to help the family. As we know the shelter is full and they don’t seem to have a bright future otherwise.
One dog, dubbed “Trooper,” has already been rescued. The dogs listed below are still in need of help.
