Dogs' lives turned upside down

On August 22, two dogs were cast aside because there was a new baby in the house. The dogs, Homer and Bentley, had a normal life until the day that they were taken to the Carson Animal Services facility in Gardena, California, and left behind by their owner.

On August 22, the Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page explained:

HOMER and BENTLEY are brothers and they just had the worst day of their lives. They were surrendered to the Shelter because of a new Baby in the family and these beautiful boys have now lost their home, their family and probably each other. They have beautiful personalities, very treatable skin conditions and sweet, gentle energy and they need help now, the Shelter is Completely FULL! Please SHARE, a FOSTER or Adopter would save them.

Five long weeks have passed and Homer and Bentley are still homeless – while it is fortunate that these beautiful dogs are still alive, it goes without saying that they are confused and heartbroken over the sudden upheaval in their life.

Please help Homer and Bentley find a new family by taking a moment to share their adoption information.

  1. I have pledged 200.00 for sweet Homer and Bentley… Will you please join me in pledging with prayers and shares for a rescue to save them and foster… And share for a safe, loving pet parent to adopt them and keep them safe forever, thank you.

  2. Anyone who throws a dog away because they are having a baby, doesn’t deserve to have dogs – or babies. They are horrid people who will likely raise their brats to be just like them. My only hopes are 1) these dogs find the perfect forever home(s) and 2) the brat(s) these people have dump THEM at the worst “old folks home” they can find when the time comes.

  3. Oh yes the “new baby can’t keep the dogs” excuse, haven’t heard that one in awhile. So dump two Pit Bull Terriers in Carson of all places and think they will get out alive. I will keep these babies in my prayers, and hope they find a loving home together. To the “family” that thought these dogs are disposable, May Karma get you in the end.

  4. POS scumbags! If you’re going to throw your dogs away because of a new baby, you shouldn’t be allowed to have either. God help THIS baby when the next one (heaven forbid!) comes along.

    • I am in total agreement,. Divorced, had to move into a 3 story walk up rather than give up my 3 BIG DOGS, landlord was kind enough to rent after moving out of my home, Shame on them, insensitive snakes.

  5. I hope there is a better home for them. They don’t look like they were afforded much TLC from the last bunch. Coats a mess.
