A Texas woman, who calls herself a dog trainer, is facing felony charges for allegedly abusing a puppy. According to CBS Austin News, 59-year-old Lynn Donelle Adams, who calls herself the “Dog Whisperer of Austin,”  ran into trouble after a witness claimed that she was choking a puppy in a parking lot.

Adams allegedly lifted the puppy, named “Chloe,” off of the ground until the pup defecated; the pup was said to be wearing a choke collar at the time. An officer who was called to assist also witnessed Adams yelling at the puppy and yanking the puppy through the air with a leash. The woman told the officer that she was training the puppy, who was a biter, and “aggressive,” reported KVUE News.

The officer was able to contact the puppy’s owner, who asked that Chloe be removed from Adams’ possession. This is not the first time that Adams has been accused of abusive behavior towards dogs. In October 2015, a 9-1-1 caller reported that Adams was slamming a small poodle to the ground.

On the Facebook page, Lil Paws Maltese Rescue and Other Petite Paws, there is a scathing accusation against Adams, and a warning for pet owners to “be aware” of her alleged abusive behavior towards dogs.

Adams is facing a charge of cruelty to non-livestock animals for the most recent incident.

  1. Please….NO plea deal, probation, community service, court-ordered “counseling.” I’m talking about meaningful time in the free hotel, big fat fine, and revocation of any licence she may have.

  2. Somebody needs to put a choker chain around her neck and slam her around and see how she likes it she’s poor excuse for a human being I hope they throw her butt in jail

  3. The pup was acting in self defense it sounds like to me. This “dog whisperer” is a joke, a dangerous one. Let’s get the word out on her mean tactics?

  4. This same woman did the same thing to another dog she was caring for back in August. Police seized the dog and called the owner. Thank goodness for witnesses. At any rate, she shouldn’t have been able to practice. She’s got serious problems and shouldn’t care for any pet or human. This doesn’t stop at dogs. It’s just easy for her. And keep an eye on what she does next. She’ll try in another state.
