Since early Summer, a beautiful dog has been overlooked and ignored at an animal control agency in California. The six-year-old dog, named “Emilia,” has been held at the Agoura Animal Care Center since June 28.

According to the shelter, Emilia is a spayed German shepherd (though she appears to possibly be a Belgian Malinois mix). Four days ago, the Facebook page, Senior Pets for Senior People, wrote:

Enchanting EMILIA (A4966941) is a beautiful 6 yo German shepherd girl who is frightened in her kennel but soon as the door opens her barking stops and her true personality comes out – which is so very sweet and loving. Emilia may be shy but she approaches the volunteers on her own to get affection, and she will need someone willing to take it slow and give her the time, love and tenderness she needs to truly blossom.

Emilia is said to be a smart girl who learns quickly, especially if treats are involved. Please help Emilia have her chance to join a family, instead of being the dog who is ignored and overlooked everyday.

  1. How she can still be there amazes me. These are incredibly smart, loyal and brave dogs. Whomever gives her a home will never regret it. It seems to me the person that let her go is a dope. Sharing this beauty in hopes it helps get her seen and adopted.

  2. She still available? I love German shepherds and malinois!! She looks adorable!! What is her fee? Is there any way to get transport for her towards Midwest?? I would love to have her !! Have small acreage and room to roam! Text me?? 816-935-0431 …
