An adorable pair of cuddling dogs have found a home together thanks to their irresistible photo and the awesome powers of social media.
Chewbacca and his little bonded pal CC had been cuddling dogs together for years, but were surrendered to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARLIowa) after their owners’ baby developed allergies. On October 4, the poignant photo of the two appeared on Facebook with the following explanation:
“AWESOME DOGS ALERT: Meet our resident odd couple! Chewbacca and little CC are pretty much always cuddling when we walk by their kennel – and that usually means CC is somehow draped over Chewy. These 2 love going on walks and car rides and being involved in whatever you’re doing. They’ve lived with cats and dogs and would be a wonderful fit for a relaxed home. Their bond is undeniable, so they must be adopted together. What a perfect pair to share your life with! Meet them today at ARL Main!”
Staff at the shelter couldn’t help but notice how CC used Chewbacca as a pillow. The photo and description were shared more than a thousand times; within just four days the undeniably adorable couple found out they would be forever together when Amber Wiley adopted them and brought them home to two other dogs and three pet pigs.
