Bria is safe, but that wasn’t always always the case. The extremely friendly and well-taken care of dog found herself locked in a kennel at the Carson Animal Care Center in California on October 5. Her owner had been arrested, and no friends or relatives stepped up to help the five-year-old pit bull.

For weeks, Bria waited – she was so lonely, and her time was running out, but Bria was to become one of the lucky pit bulls to be rescued. She had captured a couple’s attention, and would be required to undergo a temperament test before the shelter would allow her to be adopted. And that becomes the message of Bria’s successful and heartfelt rescue. As her plight was shared over and over, Bria’s silent prayers were answered. On November 9, Bria was moved to the “safe album.”

Do you think Bria knew that her time had finally arrived and now she had a new family? Check out her exit video, and please remember to share the stories we post with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts.

  1. I’m happy and sad. I don’t know what her previous owner did to end up in jail…or how long he’ll be there, but maybe he loved his dog. Just because a family member didn’t step forward, he will lose his dog? Doesn’t seem entirely fair. Maybe the explanation is in the details not given here.
