Blind dog and his seeing-eye friend heartlessly dumped at high kill shelter

One doesn’t have to be rich to love and care for their dogs. Sadly, it’s very difficult to comprehend how two bonded senior dogs could be surrendered to the high kill San Bernardino Shelter in California by their owner with nary an explanation nor a plan to help them. And now a blind dog and his seeing-eye friend need a new home – a place where they will feel safe and loved.im-blind-and-my-dog-helps-2

The two dogs with great temperaments and are closely bonded, arrived on Friday; they need each other and “a big hearted forever foster” to help Boscoriel, the ten-year-old, blind male German shepherd mix and Rheixaghahgnon, his seeing-eye friend – the female, 13-year-old Golden retriever. Shelter volunteers were shocked:

“I kid you not; they were deliberately put is this full kill shelter by their owner today. One is the eyes for the other...MUST BE SAVED TOGETHER! The clock is ticking…owner surrenders are available immediately.
Who does this?,” wrote volunteer Joelle Stonebraker on Facebook as she posted the dogs’ photos asking for help.im-blind-and-my-dog-helps-3

An additional Facebook page for these two dogs can be followed here. Please share the plight of these two special needs seniors with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social  media contacts. Sharing saves lives, and every life counts.

  1. Here’s hoping that the selfish uncaring owner who surrendered these two bonded seniors will never ever ever ever have one moment of pure happiness for the rest of his miserable life and beyond.

  2. now why the “F” doesn’t this surprise ME that this happened in none other than CALIFORNIA the Guppy Population state!!! San Bernardino Too that Kills it reliquinished pets almost as FAST and UNCARING AS CARSON AND DOWNEY!!!!

  3. These are senior Dogs and will not travel well. If you live within four hours of the shelter and want to adopt, follow directions and call. Please do not tie up their phone lines as many other dogs have potential owners calling also IF YOU ARE JUST SAYING YOU WILL ADOPT THEM.

  4. I see that These two companions are not listed at PET HARBOR today!!! No update from anyone that they were Fostered or Adopted!!! Does anyone know Did SAN Bernardino do what come Natural to them and EUTHANIZE the in a 4 day period of TIME?????
