Beautiful golden retriever puppy shot in the eye

A beautiful golden retriever puppy is recovering after someone shot his eye out in North Rose, New York. The seven-month-old puppy, named “Cooper,” was shot after he managed to dig out of his fenced yard last week; the puppy, along with two other dogs who live at the same home, ran off, and someone severely injured him while he was away.

According to WHEC News, the Chrisley family’s other dogs returned home later the same night, but Cooper was not found for two days – he was discovered less than a mile away in nearby woods.

Since last Friday, Cooper has been recuperating from the devastating injury at Williamson Animal Hospital – though the bullet missed his brain, his eye was destroyed and he needs surgery to repair the bone damage to his face.

An outpouring of support for Cooper has been received through a GoFundMe campaign established to help cover his staggering veterinary expenses. As of Tuesday, over $18,000 has been raised for the injured puppy.

Who shot Cooper, and why, remains a mystery. The authorities are investigating the heartbreaking situation.

Whoever did this needs to be found and put in jail. That vermin had to have known that Cooper is NOT a stray and there was no reason to shoot, which is the reason scum like this normally uses. If you ask me, the vermin who did this should be eradicated, because there are more than likely MANY dead dogs in its wake, as well as cats and abundant wildlife.

This happened not too far from where I live, I shared the lost notice fro Cooper when it was first released and then the horrible notice that he had been shot at close range by some POS! I am praying they find the scum that did this. This was no “accident” whoever shot him was close enough to know it was a dog and not a deer. They need to be dealt with severely so this sort of thing doesn’t happen again!

This makes my blood boil. There is so much negativity and hat everywhere you look. When are we going to start seeing human beings again instead of monsters and when are we going to start seeing positivity instead of so much negativity? We blame so many things for the way our world is. Its nobody else’s fault but ours. Look at us…hurting innocent living things from people to baby animals to our forests. Accountability is something long forgotten. We have no one to blame but ourselves. Just makes me sick to my stomach constantly reading stories like these.
