At the admirable age of 16 years, a poodle mix named “Snow White” finds herself without a home after her family decided that she is “too old” to keep. The heartbreaking situation has left this senior dog utterly confused.

On Saturday, the Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page uploaded a video of Snow White, along with a few words about her sad plight:

My former family who owned me for had to give me up because they thought I had gotten too old.

She won’t make it long, she is is confused right now it will tear your heart out. She needs help NOW! Please SHARE for her life, she is VERY special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save her.

It is indeed heartbreaking to watch this homeless senior dog inside of her new “home,” which is nothing more than a small, metal cage. In the video, Snow White first walks into a back corner wall, stepping into a dish – she then turns and walks to the front of the cage, only to hit her head on the metal bars.

It goes without saying that Snow White has no idea what has happened to bring her here…and that she is certainly scared, confused and sad. Please help Snow White find her way to a reputable rescue agency, or a loving home, by taking a moment to share her adoption information.

Petharbor link here. ID number A3439678/My name is Snow White and I am described as a spayed female, white Poodle – Miniature mix. The shelter thinks I am about 16 years old.

  1. She is partially or completely blind poor thing and so scared. I pray there is a hell for the family who turned her in cause she is old.

  2. What a terrible family, they should never ever be allowed to own any animal not evan a gold fish. This is cruel very cruel to do. I hope you never have peace or happiness and your kids will always remember what you did to the family dog.

    • I am checking on her tomorrow if still available I will take her with the help of Pets Forever Found Rescue I already have a 17 year old poodle she is everything to me and she came into my life almost a year ago so don’t worry if I can I will get her?

  3. I hate to read these stories.. It totally breaks my heart.. People are so cruel and mean especially after 16 years of loyalty.. So sad.

  4. I hope her humans realize someday they’ll get old and hopefully karma will be a huge bitch ……. they deserve to get what they did to that poor beautiful senior

  5. Dogs are never to old if they are loved and taken care of properly It is heart breaking this family should be ashamed for leaving this beautiful dog I hope he will get a good person who will adopt and love him I would If I lived near I am in UK Please some with heart take him home

  6. The family who discarded her like used old trash are evil scum! This beautiful dog deserves a real family who will love her until the end of time. It’s unfortunate she spent 16 years living with a family who are pure garbage! I pray a loving individual or family will take her in soon! God Bless her!!!

  7. There is someone who will take her..they live in IL..she already has 2 senior dogs so she won’t leave them…is there a way to get the baby to her?

  8. Can she see? Poor thing. This is heartwrenching to watch. I don’t understand how someone could do that to their senior dog. I hope someone (a rescue or, better yet, a nice human)will get her out of there and treat her with the love & kindness she deserves.

  9. I hope folks remember Dreya’s tomorrow, tomorrow and by doing this she causes other folks to hold back. If you say your going to do something, do it. Five posts, tomorrow, tomorrow!

  10. The POS that surrendered her should have their names put on a list. They should need to sign an agreement to the effect that “should they ever get another pet, they are mandated to keep that pet past old age and into death”. If they can’t or won’t sign this, they need to be disallowed from getting another pet again. Wtf is up with California and their crappy treatment of animals? Between the kill shelters, and people bringing in old family members, it’s heinous. California, you should be ashamed of the way that you treat pets.
