Adopted! July 23, 2016

In San Diego, California, 14-year-old Skipper grew up with her human family’s children and enjoyed every moment of her gentle life. Never could she imagine having been deserted. Described as having a genuinely sweet demeanor and always happy, one can only wonder how betrayed Skipper must feel in a shelter’s kennel cage patiently waiting for the return of her family. How is Skipper to know she was surrendered when they moved away?Skipper

Skipper is great with other dogs of all sizes, but prefers females. She is described as being in excellent health, and would likely feel even better if she lost a few pounds.

Click here for Skipper’s adoption listing. Skipper #217206 is a combination shepherd and Chow Chow. She is 14-years-old and weighs 69.2 pounds. Her adoption fee is $25.  “I was brought in by my previous owner. In my previous home, I was a very nice family member. I got along well with everyone. I would love a nice home, where I go for a nice walk and then curl up on a comfortable bed to snooze the afternoon away. My Personality Color Code is Purple; meaning I’m Happy  Go-Lucky…Carefree…Engaging…Adaptive…and Cheerful! ”

A Facebook page for Skipper can be found here. Please share Skipper’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Families with dogs are invited to bring along their canine family member to meet Skipper. This dog has not been cat tested, but volunteers at the shelter are more than willing to help.

  1. she couldn’t have been loved too much, or they wouldn’t have tossed her away like this at age 14. Prayers she finds a loving home for her remaining days.

  2. Why do people reward years of devotion like this? At the end of their lives, when dogs have only a few more years, they have EARNED the right to spend it with the people they love.

  3. Hi so explain to me how they could take a family member of 14 years and tournament and not want final senior years with her and your name here she should be put on a national adoption center where they can never adopt ever ever again by the way to great job Edward
