Her name is Izzy and she is a deserving senior dog who is dying to love someone of her very own. The Austin Pets Alive profile for Izzy states:

This adorable former stray has been absolutely thriving at APA. She is affectionate, playful, and snuggly. That’s the triple threat that comprises every perfect pet.

In June, Izzy was featured on the APA Senior Class Dogs Facebook page – the post on Izzy’s behalf reads, “We’re working hard to find Princess Izzy the forever home that she deserves. This 12-year-old lady currently lives at our Town Lake location, where it has taken her far too long to find a foster or adoptive home. Izzy is a sweet dog with a gentle soul. She loves humans of all shapes and sizes, and she loves to soak up attention whenever it’s offered to her. Izzy shows a lot of promise with children and may make a good family dog for a very lucky family.”

Despite Izzy’s age, she still has a lot of life left in her – those who know this beautiful senior girl have stated that she enjoys going for walks and chasing after tennis balls. An added bonus? Izzy is an APA Canine Good Citizen trainee – she is currently mastering obedience skills to help her be the best possible dog that she can be.

Please help Izzy find her forever home by sharing her adoption information. Profile here. Link to adoption site information here.
