Poor little Betty – a 12-year-old neglected poodle, found as a stray in heartbreaking condition; her once beautiful apricot and tan coat in a mass of tangles and her face in pure disarray and filth. Brought into the Western Riverside County Animal Shelter, what are her chances of finding a loving home?

Click here for Betty’s Pet Harbor listing. ID#A1322924 “I am a female, brown Poodle – Miniature mix. The shelter staff think I am about 12 years old. I have been at the shelter since Oct 21, 2016.” For more information about this animal, call Riverside County Animal Control – Riverside Shelter at (951) 358-7387. A Facebook page for Betty can be followed here or here.

And as if just being lost isn’t scary enough for Betty, this 12-year-old neglected poodle is also reported to be injured. Her medical notes from the shelter includes the following information:

“MEDICAL NOTES – stray, due out 10/26/16 appears to have an open wound with maggots on right hind quarter, cranial to right leg, is favoring right rear leg but will still apply moderate pressure on it while walking, missing most teeth with remaining teeth heavily coated in calculus with receding gums.”

This is how poor Betty lived. Now is the chance to show this little one life can and will be better. Please share her plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives, and Betty needs us to be her advocates.
